More about Chaga

Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a well know Functional Mushroom for its high concentration of ß-D-glucans which has been used to modulate the immune system. This specie belongs to the family Hymenocheataceae and produces sclerotium (mycelium mass) that contains melanin among other bio-compounds. This species is originally from Europe and is typically harvested outdoors and commonly grown on birch trees. Here at Spore Light, we have successfully cultivated this medicinal mushroom indoors by sterilizing brown rice in jars or unicorn bags and inoculating them with mycelium Liquid Culture Syringes. Some people enjoy it by making tea or tinctures and the konk could be used at least 2-3 times.

What are Liquid Cultures?

Liquid cultures syringes ARE NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION, and consist of mushroom mycelium suspended in a sterile nutrient broth, that carries the freshest, and tested genetics for consistent fruiting yields.

Liquid Culture Storage: Cultures will last for up to 6 months at room temperature or up to 1 year if stored in a tightly sealed bag in the refrigerator (do not freeze). We sell a wide range of liquid cultures of many popular gourmet mushroom species from around the world.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐬𝐞: **SYRINGES ARE NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION**Use the syringe to inoculate your own liquid culture media to expand the mycelium into many syringes or spawn to colonize mushroom fruiting blocks and for microscopy use.
